NIROXsculpture | WINTER 2015

Posted by Artlogic on 4 Mar 2015

‘The Winter Sculpture Fair is one of Artlogic’s most popular annual events,’ says Cobi Labuscagne, director of Artlogic, the owners and organisers of the Fair. ‘We ascribe this popularity to the combination of top South African cuisine from Franschhoek, a breathtaking environment and an opportunity to see site-specific works of sculpture in this environment.’

This year, curator Mary-Jane Darroll will once again put together an ambitious exhibition in the the highly acclaimed Nirox Sculpture Park.

‘The idea behind this year’s show, NIROXsculpture | WINTER 2015, is to narrow the scope and lift the scale and quality of work, on the understanding that we will in future revert to a wider scope, as this is desirable in order to foster talent and broaden interest, but it is also desirable to alternately be more selective and demanding, in order to promote excellence,’ says Darroll.
